A logo for the “Marching Minute Men” percussion section. The solution felt very obvious - a bird’s eye view of a drum with two sticks laying on it would look like the face of a clock.
Turning Leaf logotype. Turning Leaf Photography is run by Morgan Higgins in the heart of Texas. Morgan photographs her clients out doors in the most beautiful rustic settings. Naturally, it was important to her that these elements were reflected in her logo and graphic identity. We used her own handwriting for the type treatment so it is meaningful to both her style and heart.
A poster for “Stampede” the official drumline of the Chicago Bulls. Stampede performs regularly at home games, charity events, and through out the city.
A logo for Arcomusical. Arcomusical is an ensemble of performers dedicated to spreading the joy and knowledge of the berimbau, an Afro-Brazilian bow instrument. The group is run by Dr. Gregory Beyer. Original sketches for the project are shown below.
Cover design for the 2010 Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps percussion book, published by Tapspace. This book was purchased by all potential members who wanted to learn the music and techniques in order to audition for “America’s Corps”. This project proved challenging as the ensemble has a deep connection to its Western roots, yet the book needed to reflect a fresh approach of contemporary drumming. This artwork combines a variety of techniques and mediums such as hand drawn sketches, photography, scanned textures, graphics, and typography.
This is a logo for Universal One, a Japanese company. Part educator, composer, conductor, and designer, Uichi Kajiyama does it all. When he approached me about this project he carefully explained the English translation of his name “Uichi” which is Universal One. It was equally important and fascinating to consider cultural differences as well as ceremonial business practices when working out this design. Elements of of language and general eye flow around information are completely different between Eastern and Wester cultures.
This poster was designed with very specific intentions:
One - don’t list all the pieces or composers on the program (no one knows them.)
Two - no plain paper (like everyone else’s poster).
Three - make it attract attention (we want people to actually come to this thing).
Four - make it the best percussion recital poster anyone has ever seen. Ever.

Fun holiday themed typography for a greeting card design. Made with an embossed silver!
This is a children’s “board book” that was made and dedicated to the best nephew ever. It was conceived to help youngsters learn the alphabet but also colors, shapes, and every day objects; Which is why each letter is made from an object which begins with that letter. These images and designs are so universal that after the book was printed I ended up making a coloring book, poster, and T-shirts.
A logo for Sweet Seeds Organics owned and operate by Angie.
